Mark and I both love using insects, spiders and snakes in our jewelry designs. This is our piece titled "Webbed Opal"~ a pierced silver pendant with a hand carved Andamooka Rainbow opal spider and a garnet accent. Spider carving by my talented mother Martha Borzoni:heart:

Spider Pendant~ Version III

We've featured some beautiful pieces with snake and/or spider themes created by some talented artists on DA. Take the time to browse through the rest of their galleries:)

LOL... yeah well you aren't alone in that sentiment:) I've been amazed at how many people get creeped out by our carved opal spider pendants. I personally have a thing about big centipedes :jawdrop:... I lived in St.Croix U.S. Virgin Isles for a few years and we used to have centipedes twice the length of my palm come into our house from time to time..... they have these hard black shell-like bodies that make this hideous noise when they move....:sprint:
But overall I like insects, spiders and reptiles:heart:

Oh, I'm not creeped out by the pendants, lol, just their natural inspiration. But amen about those sneaky centipedes, their little cousins always seem to crawl out from under my right foot and tickle me! I've had three near heart attacks because of those dirty little guys, lol. I like most insects and nearly all reptiles, just can't get past those creepy spiders.
