The Beth Church Project II by jessa1155 The Beth Church Project II by jessa1155
We're posting a second collage of this piece:) We both love this ring so much that we wanted to show another batch of photos showing the ring at different angles.

This is a project we did for designer Beth Church:iconbchurch:
The spider is removable from the ring. Australian Mintabie opals, enamel and pink spinel set in sterling silver.

Ring and opal cutting by Mark Anderson.
Spider carving by Mark and Martha Borzoni.

Second photo collage of the ring seen here~

See here for a full length blog post with in-process photos~[link]

It was a custom project, so it was sold before it was ever made. Thanks for the interest.. sorry for the delayed reply!

What a fascinating, inspiring project! I can see why you and Mark loved working on it so much. The youtube video is a must-watch for magpies and jewelers alike - it's very clever. Thank you so very much for sharing it with us.

Thanks very much:)I loved this ring so much.. I tried to get as many photos as I could before we sent it out to our client Beth. I hated seeing this ring go... it was an extraordinary work of art.
Mark really impressed me with this project! He and my mom are both amazing with their wax carving skills. Mark has been trying to get me to carve my designs in wax for nearly two years but I've been stubborn about it. Seeing this project come to life has convinced me... I'm going to start putting more time and energy into learning how to carve and cast wax:)

Glad you like it:) No.. Mark did consider using a magnetic attachment but decided against it for this project. He used a tiny hidden screw underneath the ring... it works beautifully and is very easy to take apart and reassemble.
