Roses and Rhodochrosite by jessa1155 Roses and Rhodochrosite by jessa1155
This is a pendant that was commissioned by my friend Oona...nick-named "Rosie".

Pierced and hand engraved sterling silver with a custom cut gem quality rhodochrosite cabochon in a perfect bubble-gum pink:)

I like how you showed the rhodochorsite in the natural form and how it looks like on the pendant. You really do a wonderful job etching the silver, or you've just mastered etching flowers lol. This particular design would also be beautiful in an opal or moonstone.

that's beautiful! But I'd prefer another stone... onyx for example :D

Really?? The client goes by the name "Rosie" and she felt the pink color of the rhodochrosite went well with the rose theme. Do you like black jade??~ [link]

I love the way you have represented the roses here. And, once again you have a rock that would be hard for me to keep out of my mouth:)

It looks the way roses smell, and that's good. I like roses.

The stone is lovely and the metal work on this is just fantastic! =D

It reminds me a bit of the little things my dad used to make for me when he had a machine shop - I had a mermaid and a rose made out of sheet metal! :giggle:
