Description
The hand carved Andamooka Rainbow opal spider sits within a pierced Argentium silver web and is held with a hand fabricated prong setting. The blood red chrome pyrope garnet accents contrast beautifully against the black matrix opal spider 
this is piece was created for a two part article series in a lapidary Journal magazine. Article 1 covers the carving if the spider. The second article shows the entire step by step process if creating this piece. We also have the opal used in this carving, included with a variety if my Andamooka Matrix photos, in a renee Newman 's book Exotic a gemstones Volume 3.

It would be really cool if you could set two triangular garnets inside of an opal or a black rock to make a black widow.
