This was my first project using 14k gold overlay on my piercing work. I titled this pendant as Horizon due to the perfect blue fire line across the center of the stone(:

Pierced sterling silver base, 14k gold overlay, Andamooka jelly opal cabochon set in an 18k bezel.

A pendant huh? I clicked on this thinking it was a ring. Using this design for a ring would look absolutely enchanting.
